About BumpMath

BumpMath was built by a nurse, for parents โ€” to give expecting families free, accurate, and easy-to-use pregnancy tools without sign-ups, paywalls, or clutter.

Samantha L. Fox, RN, BSN, MSN

Creator & Clinical Reviewer ยท United States Navy Nurse Corps

Samantha is a Registered Nurse with over a decade of bedside experience in the Emergency Department, plus leadership tenure as a hospital House Supervisor. She currently works as a nursing informaticist โ€” combining clinical expertise with the healthcare data systems that drive evidence-based care. She's also an officer in the United States Navy Nurse Corps.

Every calculator and guide on BumpMath is built and reviewed by Samantha against current obstetric standards. If a tool can't be defended with sources, it doesn't ship.

What We Offer

  • Due Date Calculatorโ€” estimate your baby's arrival using LMP, conception date, IVF transfer, or ultrasound.
  • Ovulation & Conception Calculators โ€” track your fertile window and reverse-calculate when conception likely happened.
  • Week-by-Week Pregnancy Guideโ€” follow your baby's development from week 4 through week 42, with size comparisons, symptoms, to-dos, and doctor questions.
  • Interactive Checklists โ€” hospital bag, baby registry, nursery setup, and prenatal appointment schedules that save your progress locally.
  • Kick Counter & Contraction Timer โ€” real-time tracking tools for the third trimester.

Our Clinical Approach

Every calculator on BumpMath is built on standard obstetric formulas used by healthcare providers โ€” Naegele's Rule for due dates, Institute of Medicine (IOM) guidelines for pregnancy weight gain, and clinically recognized gestational-age calculations. We cite our methods and standards (ACOG, IOM, NIH) so you can verify them with your own provider.

Content is reviewed against published clinical guidance from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the Institute of Medicine, and the NIH Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. When clinical recommendations change, we update.

Editorial Standards

  • Every calculator and medical page is reviewed by Samantha before publication.
  • Pages display the date of last clinical review at the top.
  • We cite original sources rather than summarize without attribution.
  • We don't accept payment for editorial content. Affiliate links and ads, when present, are clearly marked.
